1925 - Major FJB Wingfield Digby DSO.


As far as i have discovered Frederick James Bosworth Wingfield Digby, was heir to Sherbourne Castle, one time High Sheriff of Dorset and is mentioned in the Cambridge serving (in WW1) war list.
I have also found a London Gazette entry placing him in the Dorset Yeomanry. 


The item measures approx, 21cm(8.3") high and 15cm(5.8") from handle to handle.
The trophy weighs approx; 13.015oz or 368.8g.

The trophy bears a full set of Solid Silver Hallmarks for Birmingham 1924 (Z) along with the distinctive "WN Ltd" manufacturer mark for;
"William Neale & Son Ltd" one time of Warstone Lane Birmingham.
